Media conference

Wow...we just attending a very interesting media conference, with a Q&A session with Werner Vogels (CTO of Amazon; he chatted about Amazon's cloud computing), Mario Campolargo (from the European Commission), Craig Lee (OGF president), Dieter Kranzlmueller (from the European Grid Initiative, and one of our bloggers!), Carlos Henrique de Brito Cruz (Scientific Director of the State of Sao Paulo Research Foundation, who gave a great presentation this morning on an application of grids to understanding the relationship between the Amazon rainforest and global climate [download his slides here]), Francesc Subiradia (Associate Director of the Barcelona Supercomputing Centre), and a cameo from Jamie Shears (who represented the Large Hadron Collider Computing Grid). We're hiding out in our hotel room now, working like crazy to make some of the question and answer session available for your viewing pleasure...
