So far the panel discussion has been really interesting. One thing that I haven't been able to say is that within the UK National Grid Service we have had available free at the point of use a Platform as a Service Cloud for the last 2 years. In that time _NO_ user has ever made use of it... Is this a problem of software availability, locality or something else?
Also with 499M people in Europe, with all this reduction in employment due to consolidation of services etc what will we do with all the people that don't have a job? We have heard crime increases as the impact of an economic downturn is felt so will this cause a slow increase in this as well?

Maybe you should charge for its use ;-)
Interesting! Have the reasons for this been explored, per chance?
Your point about unemployment resulting from the economic downturn is most pertinent and important food for thought as we move forward.
