HEP can organise a 'pissup' in a brewery

There was a moment of great concern at the end of the first day of the WLCG workshop that the combined set of computing oriented particle physicists would not be able to organise a piss up in a brewery.

To be more accurate, the need to produce reliable, dependable, sustainable infrastructures is widely recognised by this community. These principles are applied to their software, their service infrastructure and their beer!

The evening's networking event was a beer testing (or tasting - the advertising was confused!) session at a local brewery. However to get there we needed instructions and there was several minutes of delay, dangerous after over 8 hours of presentations on a Saturday, before the
appropriate web page and route could be found.

The evening was a great success. The best part for me was a gentle 30 minute stroll through some impressive fortifications to the brewery - great after sitting down all day.
