(Title is just a reference to this song ;-D)
Since the very beginning of Grid Computing in Europe, High Energy Physics applications have been there. More than "7 years later, they are still kicking" (2:27).
In a dual Session held today in Raffaello Room (11:00 to 15:30, with the lunch break in the middle), you'll learn about the latest achievements in this Research area. My colleague Alejandro Lorca will introduce his Grid version (using the GridWay Metascheduler) the aITALC code, which lets theorists build up their predictions for luminosity calibration at colliders.
Colliders... this word rings a bell ;-).
