Your Tubes: Grids on video

We're just finishing off our session on Grids, New Media and Video in the tricky to find l'Eixample room downstairs in the hotel.

After some filming tips from EGEE's Neasan O'Neill it was time to get out our camera for some actual filming (keep checking back on GridCast for upcoming videos).

We also had a look at some of the videos put up on YouTube by the EGEE'09 demos. You can find them all at the Enabling Grids YouTube channel. We were all very impressed - it goes to show making videos doesn't need to be too hard!

With one NA2 session successfully over with there's still another one on its way. The next session 'From abstract to international news story' will be discussing how to promote science which uses the grid within mainstream media. Featuring a journalist from New Scientist magazine and Domenico Vicinanza from DANTE, it will demonstrate how Domenico's work ended up in places like the Times and the Guardian. Interested in following in his footsteps? The session will be on at 14.30 in room Sants tomorrow.

This demonstration is really well understandable with that kind of presentation. Well done!
