Winners of the best demo and poster competition announced!

In the closing plenary session this morning, Vangelis Floros of GRNET and Chair of the Programme Committee announced the winners of the best demo and poster competitions, as voted for by delegates. As always, the quality of demos and posters was very high.

For Demo session 1, the winner is "neuGRID- a grid brained Infrastructure to understand and defeat Brain diseases", presented by David Manset of maatG and Yannick Legre of HealthGrid. You can watch the GridCast video of the demo at

For Demo session 2 the prize goes to "Applications using Remote Instrumentation in Grid environment DORII project" presented by Marcin Plociennik of PSNC and Milan Prica of Sincrotrone Trieste. Out of the high quality posters brought to this closing event of EGEE, delegates selected their favourite - poster 25 "Programming gLite without an UI" by Maximilian Berger of University of Innbruck and Thomas Zangerl of KTH.
