WOW

This was our first look at Academia Sinica's Tier 1 Grid Computing Centre. Our reaction says it all!

Taiwan’s ‘Academia Sinica’ Grid Computing (ASGC) has operated since 2005. It is a key component of the Worldwide LHC Computing Grid (WLCG) and is also the computing Grid for the Asia-Pacific Region. Types of research that use it include Bioinformatics, Biomedicine (Avian Flu and Dengue Fever drug discovery), Climate Science, Earth Science (earthquake simulation), High Energy Physics and the Social Sciences.

The guy at the front is me (Adrian Giordani); the Taiwanese guy in the background is Felix Lee, Technical Manager of ASGC; and the guy next to Felix is Andre-Pierre Olivier; Graphic Designer for e-Science Talk.

Or not... Did something scarify you? You look terrified... Probably the computer center monster!
