end of part 1.

Lectures and subject-specific practical sessions are all over now. now the final integrating practical is about to begin. A number of people have gone to take strategic lunchtime naps in preparation for the next 24h. There is a mandatory immersion in the lake for all grid school participants scheduled for 00:00 tonight. Martin (the other Globus tutor) and I had fun yesterday daytime trying to solve the globus parts of the practical ourselves - I've got distracted fixing bugs discovered whilst solving that, but I think he's still working on it.
