This afternoon sees the start of the EGEE’08 Business Track, a great way of learning about the latest grid developments in enterprise and of seeing how EGEE is working with companies on various levels.
Perspectives are offered from high-profile analysts; SMEs; global players; EU projects; national grid initiatives; and research organisations.
Sessions explore the sea-change around cloud computing and the benefits of low-cost virtualisation from both developer and user perspectives. The agenda also looks at how grids are enhancing real-time simulations in Europe and on an international level. The impact of Grid Economics and new Business Models is explored in the last-but-one session. The concluding interactive panel discussion will offer an overview of the European Grid Initiative (EGI) Blueprint in relation to industry, as well as highlight best practices and key milestones.
Two new EGEE Business Associates – Constellation Technologies and Linalis – will also be launched at EGEE’08!
We’ll be bringing updates live from the Business Track on 22 and 23 September.
