Respect the EGEE, learn the RESPECT tools!

Our agenda starts this Saturday with the traditional training on gLite & RESPECT Tools (Recommended External Software for EGEE CommuniTies). Take a look at the schedule and if you are interested, reach us at:

Universitat de Barcelona
Faculty of Chemistry (Facultat de Química)
Martí i Franquès, 1

Attendees will learn how to:
  • Expand the functionality of the grid infrastructure for users.
  • Reduce duplicated development when porting applications.
  • Speed the porting of new application to the grid.
All of this will be done with Grid technologies like gLite, P-GRADE, GridWay and g-Eclipse.

Alejandro and I will be in charge of the GridWay part. You'll learn with us what GridWay is (in case you didn't know already :-D), how to use it with its command line tools and how to port your applications using the DRMAA OGF Standard. Additionaly, there will be a mysterious bonus that I won't reveal in this GridCast post (hint: It has to do with this logo).

You know... "bleeding-edge" middleware makes the Grid to be easy as an arcade machine!
