Putting the ‘e’ in education: eLearning and grid computing

The GridTalk team have been hard at work over the last couple of months and, following the recently released eHealth GridBriefing in Spanish, we're proud to announce the release of GridBriefing number 14 - 'Putting the ‘e’ in education: eLearning and grid computing'.

Computers and the Internet have transformed our homes and businesses, and have the potential to do the same for education and training. This GridBriefing takes a look at how grid technologies can play a part in eLearning and includes some great case studies, from the school based initiative CERN@School to a recreation of a 15th century priory in New World Grid, a Second Life-like environment.

Intrigued? You can download the newest GridBriefing for free at the GridTalk website. And for even more discussions on how grid technologies are affecting us, whether it be in eHealth or eHumanities, you can now read all eight GridBriefings from the last year in our GridBriefing Annual Report.
