Pr. Carlos Varela, from RPI Worldwide computing labs, presented SALSA, but not the "latino" rhythm to dance all night, but else the Simple Actor Language System and Architecture. In their talk, several points about the possibility to adapt middleware for large scale architectures not only to High Performance and Grid Computing also addressed to Cloud computing needs.
On the other hand, Pr. Riveill from Nice-Sophia Antipolis University in France, shown about the challenges in ambient computing, also in the context of the auto-adaptivity of the applications in different middlewares to Ubiquitous and Cloud Computing.
