SC-CAMP, the Supercomputing and Distributed Computing School open the application process to participation for the 2012 version that will be held in Mérida Venezuela.

Inspired by the idea to develop a camping school in the middle of the nature addressed to undergraduate and master students, SC-CAMP'12 offer a state-of-the-art lectures and programming practical sessions upon High Performance and Distributed Computing topics: Parallel Programming, Scalable Architectures (Cluster Computing, Grid Computing, Cloud Computing), Green Computing, High Interaction Performance Computing, e-Science and more.

This year, SC-Camp will be hosted by the Universidad de Los Andes, at Mérida, Venezuela from 9th to 15th July, in the Vega Sol Camping Resort.

SC-Camp is a non-profit event, addressed to every student including those that lack of financial backup. Last year all students that applied in due time received a grant to attend lectures, including meals and accommodations. Since the first version, SC-Camp has been supported by RedCLARA and different international organizations, as  is the case of GridTalk and ISGTW as media partners.
