Gearing up in Uppsala
Sampling the delights of Heathrow Terminal 5 on the way, I've arrived in Uppsala the day before the EGEE User Forum. For a station about to have a grand opening, Uppsala Central station looks a little bit more like a building site than I expected ... Also, I'll blame that for the moments confusion as to which side of the station you want out of. (For those arriving from Arlanda airport, it's the other one!)
Travelled over with Dug, who'll be talking about our experience with several distinct user communities, and how that impacts what we do. This is the sort of thing that I find the User Fora to be very good for - getting techy types on the backend to interact with the users at the sharp end, and talk about the good (and bad!) points of current Grid systems. Looking forward to catching a few talks along those lines, along with some of the Grid/Cloud talks.
Photo is of the Cathedral, seen through the evening haze last night.
