Uppsala on a Sunday

I've arrived in Uppsala to discover blinding sun in the late afternoon, walking round town I could barely see. I should have brought sunglasses but I always forget them!

Have been mooching around and checked out a couple of the sights, which Danielle has kindly provided a list of below. I was confused as to why the castle was pink before remembering that most of the original castle was destroyed in a fire. The views from up there let you see all of Uppsala so well worth a trip up the hill.

The Botaniska tradgarden are nice too (though I bet they are more spectacular in a month or so.)


Uppsala seems very quiet and peaceful today. Somehow I think tomorrow will be a lot busier when EGEE'10 gets going!
