Help the user
Me again with my user theme: looking around at today's EMI client tutorial, I could hardly see any real user. Sysadmins - plenty, developers - many, end-users (scientists, researchers) - next to none. Meanwhile, the progress is truly amazing: just a year ago, it was unthinkable to have gLite, UNICORE and ARC clients to be depolyed and working in the same (albeit virtual) box - and here they are, co-existing peacefully! The next step is well-known: make them serving the users, such that any client can offer access to any computing resource, without a hazzle of higher-level hacks. Today we saw the status quo maintained; the path forward is clear, and I am pretty confident the next EGI UF will see working native cross-middleware end-user client tools.
